Welcome! I’m Rod, a Registered Psychologist in Calgary.

I specialize in guiding individuals through overwhelming emotions - like anger, stress, and anxiety - that may be obstructing their relationships, careers, or overall sense of well-being. Rather than seeing these emotions as obstacles, I view them as untapped catalysts for meaningful change. My work is centered on transforming these powerful emotions into levers for personal growth, heightened self-awareness, and positive relationships.

During our sessions, you will step into a space where you feel heard, valued, and respected - a space where your thoughts and feelings are acknowledged without judgment. Our work together is like building a bridge: each session is a supportive beam that helps construct a pathway to emotional resilience, using tested and impactful techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Contextual Anger Regulation Therapy. Through our dialogue and interactions, you’ll not only understand your emotions better but also learn to use them as building blocks for a more resilient and fulfilling life.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University, a Master of Science from the University of Calgary, and I’m a registered member of the College of Alberta Psychologists (#6420) and the Psychological Association of Alberta. My background includes a significant role as a therapist at a family violence agency and comprehensive training in a diverse range of therapeutic approaches.
